Richard Fantus, M.D.

Dr. Richard “Jake” Fantus is an Assistant Professor in Urology  at the University of Kansas Medical Center specializing in Men’s Health. He received his MD in Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine and completed his residency in urology at the University of Chicago. He completed his clinical fellowship in the fields of infertility, andrology, and sexual medicine at Northwestern University.

Dr. Fantus has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed articles in addition to publishing several book chapters in the field of urology. He currently serves as a peer reviewer for numerous journals including the Journal of Urology, Journal of Sexual Medicine, Fertility and Sterility, and Urology.

Dr. Fantus believes in a holistic approach to men’s health by integrating lifestyle modifications, medications, and surgeries to achieve patients’ goals rather than applying a one size fits all model.

In his personal life, he enjoys spending time with his two daughters, Sloane and Regan, and his wife Sarah. He’s an avid football fan and loves weightlifting in his home gym.
