Danica N. May, M.D.

Dr. May is an Assistant Professor of Urologic Surgery and the Medical Student Clerkship Director. As a urologic oncologist, she specializes in treating cancers of the genitourinary system, which includes the bladder, prostate, kidney, testicular, penile, renal pelvis, and adrenal cancers.

She received her M.D. from the Kansas School of Medicine and completed her residency at Louisiana State University and Ochsner Health System and completed her Urologic Oncology Fellowship from the University of Kansas.

She views herself as an educator, patient advocate, and advisor so that you can make the best decisions for your health. She understands that the health care system can be complex and compartmentalizing and strives to be the best advocate for you and your health.

Danica places great value in staying up to the latest research and medical advances that could play a vital role in patients’ treatments.

In her personal life, Danica loves spending time with her husband Victor, their son, Emmerson, as well as her nieces and nephews. She is an avid reader and runner and will be jogging 5-10k routines.
